About Cate
Cate Gonzalez is a Senior at Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Musical Theatre and minoring in Acting for the Camera and in Dance. She began her acting career at Carrollwood Elementary School in Tampa, Florida in the first grade as the Queen of Hearts in the play The Shower of Hearts.
Her recent productions include: Freaky Friday, 1776, Firebringer, and Xanadu at FAU, Ride the Cyclone and Spring Awakening with The Collective FAU, Much Ado About Nothing with The Wilde Theatre Company, Side by Side by Sondheim at The Patel Conservatory at The Straz, and Cabaret at Richey Suncoast Theatre.
Cate has many years dance and gymnastics experience, including 8 years as a competitive gymnast and is also a choreographer.

Cate is currently in the role of Hermia in By Any Other Name at Florida Atlantic University working with her voice coach, Ryan Townsend.
